This is just the sweetest story about a butter knife named Herman who spreads love and makes people happy by adding tasty toppings to food. When his family buys a fancy blender, he's left in the drawer, feeling sad and without a purpose. Soon, he discovers that he can do other things and becomes a helpful and much appreciated tool around the house. This is wonderful for anyone needing encouragement to find a new path. A beautiful book perfect for Valentine's Day for kids and adults alike!
We love all of Michelle's Whatif Monster books, and this one is especially cute! My 3-year-old son hasn't been very interested in learning his alphabet lately. However, the cute monsters and bright colors of this book drew him in, and he requested reading this book at bedtime! Michelle even signed the book, making it extra special. We will be adding this to our nightly reading routine 😀
I have a newborn grandson and my bonus daughter is already reading to him at 3 weeks old. The WhatIf board books are perfect with simple text and bright colored simple shapes that already catch his eye.
Such a cute story about jealousy and finding joy in yourself in unexpected ways. The illustrations are adorable and funny! My son loved it!
The Whatif monster ornaments are a great addition to any holiday tree. I ordered all four ornaments and brighten up the Christmas tree.
We benefit from the book and stuffy . Three littles in our house that hear and play with things that teach.
Delightful, Well crafted glazed ceramic ornament to hang on your Christmas Tree!
Purchased a copy of The Whatif Monster to donate to my son's preK class (he wears his sweatshirt a lot) and the copy purchased came signed... I was a bit jealous my copy isn't signed so that just means I'm off to purchase another copy. Thanks Michelle for being an amazing, inclusive author.
The What If journal is a perfect compliment to Jonathan James and The Whatif Monster. I am giving the Jonathan James book, the Whatif Monster and the Journal to a young lady going through alcohol rehab. I can only hope they will help her as much as they have helped me as with my depression and anxiety.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Jonathan James and The Whatif Monster! Jonathan and Whatif Monster has really helped me as I deal with depression and anxiety. Whenever I see someone having a hard time, I try to give them a Jonathan James and The Whatif Monster. You will not be disappointed, I promise you! ❤️
I love our ornament! Adorable ornament with our favorite monster that takes care of our worries!
My daughter’s son loves this book and I already got him the plush and blanket. My daughter-in-law is pregnant and due in a couple of weeks. There have been complications with the baby, shown on the ultrasounds, and she’s been referred to several specialists. They look fixable, but we won’t know about specific treatment plans or how long it will take until after the baby’s born. So I got the book and plush for the baby, but also for her, since she and my son have been on a roller coaster ride of negative WhatIfs.
It is the softest and squishiest plush monster! My girls love it. I'm gifting the other to my daughter's Pre-K teacher with the book Jonathon James and the Whatif Monster. I'm sure she'll be thrilled as well!
I love this blanket! It is literally one of the softest blankets I ever felt for little ones! This blanket and book will make the best baby shower gift or birthday present for a toddler/preschooler. I absolutely love it and will be buying more!
My boy love the what if monster stories and we’re beyond excited to finally have their own what if monster to cuddle!!!
My 5 year old LOVES the WhatIf Monster and is learning to read right now. I cannot wait to gift him this book for Christmas. He's going to adore all the fun bright colors. Michelle Nelson-Schmidt never disappoints!
I bought this for my 7 year old grandson. He loves the Whatif book and his Whatif monster. This book has quickly become one of his favorites for bedtime reading.
I hung this up over one of my smaller bulletin boards and one of my students said, "I thought your daughter was named Jaclynne but I see Sage and wait another name, is it Sophia?"
They crack me up!
The blanket is so soft and although likely warm my students will have to be happy with it on display right above our MNS book bin.
