Review by a Beta Reader

Reading this book was like sitting with a close friend while they share their deepest thoughts. You hear her voice, you feel the emotion. You understand because it's relatable. Life is like that. It doesn't have to be the same boat, as they say, but a storm is a storm. Michelle Nelson-Schmidt pours out her story and the ways she learned to find hope and light in the darkness. It's simple, quick, lighthearted, full of love, and caring. The perfect words when you need to be reminded of your Happy💗

A Beautiful Conversation - Review from a Beta Reader

This is not a book. This is a conversation with a friend. A beautiful, raw, honest, funny, and sometimes tear-inducing conversation.

If you are looking for a step-by-step guide to life you won’t find it here. What you will find is a reminder that you are enough. That choosing joy, even when it’s far easier to go with the darkness, brings about a unique magic. All the things we tell children but forget to tell ourselves, Michelle will help remind you.

I truly enjoyed every moment of this book, it has an intimate feeling, as though Michelle is speaking directly to YOU. You feel a connection. It sparks something in you, inspiring you to seek out the magic and face the Whatifs.

Beta reader Life is as Magical As You Make It

I was a beta reader for this book. I loved every step of it. Michelle is so transparent and open about herself and her life. This book is an eye opener to everyone. I believe there is some point of every persons life that he or she feels they were wronged, they were depressed, they felt like they were not enough, etc. This book shows people that no matter what someone goes though it can be turned into positive energy and come out better at some point. This book brought so much joy and happiness each time I read it. I read the different versions during the editing process and I never got tired of hearing Mitchell's story. She is such an inspiration and so is this book!

This book is so very relatable!

This book is like chatting with a friend, feeling like you have been in similar situations, and realizing that you are both quite capable of finding your joy. This is not a step-by-step or a how to improve your life, but a good read that will make a positive impact in the lives of folks who enjoy it. Even those like myself who have read all of Miss Michelle’s other books (at least once) but need the reminder to apply the messages to our lives as much as we encourage our littles to. 👍👍

An Amazing Book!

Review by a beta reader.

If you have been feeling down and need a way to feel good even for just for the time it takes to read this book. You have found it. This book feels like you are sitting down with a good friend to have a chat that leaves you feelings full of good feelings at the end.

As some one who lives with multiple chronic illnesses and has a child with a rare genetic condition that comes with a lot of other diagnosises. I find it hard to shake the stress of the day away and hold on to the joy found in the day. This magical book was just what I needed at the right moment. I mostly wanted to be part of the beta reader group to help Michelle with this book since it is something entirely different from her normal books. In stead I ended up with the message I did not know I was looking for.

Amazing Read

As a beta reader, I have had the opportunity to read this amazing book. Her story and message is so important to the world. This book is what our world needs. It is such an inspiring and important message!

Joy in the journey

As a beta-reader, I had the opportunity to read and re-read Michelle’s book. Her story, her journey, her message to kids and adults, poured into my heart with every chapter. I am already planning this as a Summer book club read with my bestie. ❤️

I just gave this set to my daughter for her 7th birthday today. She was so very excited to see each character from her favorite Miss Michelle books. Especially Cordelia 🙂
My daughter is getting into reading chapter books and need some awesome place holders ;)

Something old can be reborn again

We love the new additions to the re release of the old books we love the new covers and the inspiration behind them we love the ability that we were able to help you vote for the new covers and the opinions behind them. My sons love the new books and love what you've done and can't wait for more adventures to come.

Very informative!

This is a great overview of the layered process of getting a Children’s book published. Definitely provided key points to consider and lots of takeaways to develop an action plan.

Just right

The custom print is beautiful and high quality. Michelle was a joy to work with. I look forward to giving this to my husband for our anniversary! It's very special.

Love! Love! Love!

So super cute. Arrived quickly and the picture was just as expected. Can't wait to add another to my collection.

Great Course!

This course was a very clear, understandable overview of multiple ways to have a book published. Michelle provided a detailed handout to go along with her presentation and styled the course so that all participants could understand next steps no matter if they write fiction, non-fiction or children's books. She welcomed participant questions along the way if we had questions. I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to become a published author.

Great class!

Such a beneficial class! So much info and great resources. Plus, it was amazing having a small group so all our questions got answered.

A Helpful Intro to Publishing!

I am in the process of publishing my first children's book through a small publishing company currently, but wanted to learn more about the different publishing options and experiences possible. I knew very little to pursue a different type of publisher for the next book I'm writing (a different genre and audience than my first.) This course was SO HELPFUL in learning about different publishing routes, where to start, what to look for, how to find an agent, etc. Thank you, Michelle, for using your own experiences and success to help others up along the way!

Give the stuffy WhatIf that gives back.

We love all of the WhatIf Monster books. We love our WhatIf Monster! My kiddo drags it around the house and has it on all his adventures. I love it because it is a visual reminder for him to be be brave, and to think about all the good things we learn from the WhatIf Monster. I have to share this photo from yesterday. I came into his room and WhatIf and a few other stuffies were up on his ceiling fan. "Don't worry mommy, I didn't stand on my dresser to put them there, I was up in my bunk bed. WhatIf Monster was showing the other stuffies how to be brave!"

Not Just For Kids!

I love the Whatif Monster's strategy of imagining way outside the box to cope with anxiety. I'm gonna start using this myself!

Stock Up!

I LOVE these! Everyone I show them to wants them - not just for the kids, but for themselves, too! Gonna have to stock up!

These are the books that make the world a better place.

What if....we could work to change the world through being brave enough to spread kindness daily? We ordered Books 1-6 of The Whatif Monster Chapter Books Series. My 5 year old LOVES them. We have read Gabby and the Mean Girl 5 times in a few days. I love how these books talk about real-life things like mean kids at school, but then the WhatIf Monster helps us dig deeper to find out why they are mean. Through showing kindness to Gabby it is then that Jonathon James, Sam & Sebastion find out why she is mean. She lost her mom and is foster care. She is mean so that she won't have to make friends and say goodbye to them later. I love how Michelle's books give a glimpse into real lives of people. It allows us as parents to read and expose our kids to the different type of people and families that the world has. The whole world needs more kindness and her books help show kids how to spread it! Don't mind my dog who photo bombed the photo last night. She loves storytime too, and getting her picture taken.

WhatIf to the Rescue

These wonderful books show children how to deal with their fears and doubts ( fears we all had/have as children) without condescending to them. The WhatIf monster is a friend I wish I had when I was little. I’m very glad that WhatIf is here for my little ones!

Over And Beyond

Michelle sent a handwritten thank you card and a personal message in one of her books. That little touch meant so much! I’m a sign language interpreter so to find out there was a Deaf character was amazing! We also are in the process to foster to adopt, so these books came at a great time! We are really trying to broaden our family’s view on the world and these books are an incredible resources for that. These are the perfect level books for my 7 (almost 8) year old son to read to us as well.

My reluctant reader is excited to read these!!

My 8 year old son has never been one to choose to pick up a book, despite having a very full home library. Ever since these entered our home, he’s been excited to read again and has taken to reading aloud to me during our drives to and from school. I love the diverse characters, stories of friendship, and using the Whatif Game to conquer everyday fears.
