Spread the Love Yard Sign inspired by the book Herman: A little story about spreading love by Michelle Nelson-Schmidt.
I am in the process of publishing my first children's book through a small publishing company currently, but wanted to learn more about the different publishing options and experiences possible. I knew very little to pursue a different type of publisher for the next book I'm writing (a different genre and audience than my first.) This course was SO HELPFUL in learning about different publishing routes, where to start, what to look for, how to find an agent, etc. Thank you, Michelle, for using your own experiences and success to help others up along the way!
We love all of the WhatIf Monster books. We love our WhatIf Monster! My kiddo drags it around the house and has it on all his adventures. I love it because it is a visual reminder for him to be be brave, and to think about all the good things we learn from the WhatIf Monster. I have to share this photo from yesterday. I came into his room and WhatIf and a few other stuffies were up on his ceiling fan. "Don't worry mommy, I didn't stand on my dresser to put them there, I was up in my bunk bed. WhatIf Monster was showing the other stuffies how to be brave!"
I love the Whatif Monster's strategy of imagining way outside the box to cope with anxiety. I'm gonna start using this myself!
I LOVE these! Everyone I show them to wants them - not just for the kids, but for themselves, too! Gonna have to stock up!
What if....we could work to change the world through being brave enough to spread kindness daily? We ordered Books 1-6 of The Whatif Monster Chapter Books Series. My 5 year old LOVES them. We have read Gabby and the Mean Girl 5 times in a few days. I love how these books talk about real-life things like mean kids at school, but then the WhatIf Monster helps us dig deeper to find out why they are mean. Through showing kindness to Gabby it is then that Jonathon James, Sam & Sebastion find out why she is mean. She lost her mom and is foster care. She is mean so that she won't have to make friends and say goodbye to them later. I love how Michelle's books give a glimpse into real lives of people. It allows us as parents to read and expose our kids to the different type of people and families that the world has. The whole world needs more kindness and her books help show kids how to spread it! Don't mind my dog who photo bombed the photo last night. She loves storytime too, and getting her picture taken.
